A large brick compound at the intersection of Center and Cherry Streets has a metal marker on it with "G.J. Sutton State Building 321 Center Street" debossed on the plaque. The main part of the building looks like it had been a warehouse or manufacturing facility years ago. Facing Center Street, the quanset-hut-looking building facace has a date of 1912 at the pinnacle of its facade, above large arching windows. In the limestone used around the windows the word "Office" in engraved. In times past this building used to be used by the San Antonio Machine and Supply Company (SAMSCO) but is company has moved to facilities north of San Antonio. Not sure if the building is currently being used for business.
