Clock on the Façade of Versailles City Hall.
The city hall building was constructed between 1897 and 1900 and was topped with a bell tower facing the Avenue de Paris where a clock was mounted.
in 1945 the building lost its bell tower, thought to be too tall and what we believe to be the same clock was mounted on the top of the façade at the roof level.
The clock has a white face and black Roman numerals as well as black dots marking the minutes. Some of the numbers are worn out and are difficult to see, but, since part of the building is under restoration we believe that the clock will soon be restored.
