A stone built triangulation pillar on the summit of Yr Eifl. The Ordnance Survey database showns this pillar to be at a height of 564.184m above the Newlyn datum.
There is a stone shelter next to the pillar, which is lucky as it was very windy up there.
Of interest is the strange metal object inserted into the plug hole. It is shaped like a 4 and has the letters A & H on it. Not sure what it is, but it was singing in the wind today! No idea what its actually for though.
The views of the peninsula are quite spectacular from the summit. A interesting hillfort, Tre'r Ceiri can be seen on the smaller summit opposite.
Type of Trigpoint: Triangulation Pillar
