For a long time this bridge was covered by vegetation, almost invisible to someone walking near it. Recently, the City of Tomar invested in the cleaning of the area and provided the bridge with a decent resting area including some picnic tables. It's still in a remote area, where just a few people will go but I love it! I couldn't find much about the history of the bridge. Its name apparently means it was initially building by the Romans, but it can be just a myth. Either way it's obviously an old bridge, with more than 400 years.
