David Douglas Park is located on Garrison Road in Vancouver, Washington. Facilities include play equipment, restrooms and horseshoes.Douglas, for whom the park is named, was a botanist and scholar who visited Fort Vancouver during the time of the Hudson's Bay Company. This name was proposed by the Historical Society and accepted by the Parks and Recreation. It is much better than its World War II name of "Trailer Terrace Park." It had been the site of temporary housing such as silver trailers.
