On the south side of the town of Verden is a picturesque metal water tower, sitting north of a newer city water source.

The older Verden water tower is the type which reminds me of the Tin Woodman in Wizard of Oz. It is a metal bullet-shaped tank with a domed cap. The cap is painted green, and the name of the town is painted on the side of the tank. It stands on four metal legs.
Approximately 50 feet south of this tower is a a metal cylindrical tank which also shows the name "VERDEN."
These tanks sit south of Highland Avenue in a residential area.
