The City of Westfield Bicentennial Committee erected this 4 ft. x 3 ft. x 6 in. momument in celebration of the nation's bicentennial in 1976. It is an historic marker that honors the local Revolutionary War hero Lieutenant Richard Falley and his role in supplying arms to the Continental Army. A precisely incised image of a musket decorates the plaque. The monument is inscribed:
