Nashville, Indiana is a mecca for artists, nature lovers and tourists. The Artists Colony Inn pays homage to the spirit of Nashville. Their web site describes themselves as:
A century ago, artists were inspired to venture out into Brown County’s majestic hills, valleys and streams. They came for the summer and painted the “Peaceful Valley.” Soon there followed art students, writers, potters, weavers, naturalists and photographers until the small valley community became the town of Nashville.
Nestled around the crossroads at the heart of Brown County, Nashville is home to more than 200 shops and studios. The Artists Colony Inn was built to resemble historic Shaker style buildings with its wide plank wooden floors, Windsor chairs and quaint furnishings. We are within walking distance of the shops and galleries in Nashville and conveniently located near the beautiful Brown County State Park, Bloomington Indiana (home to Indiana University) and the city of Columbus, Indiana which is famous for its' architecture.
The Artists Colony Inn and Restaurant has 23 rooms including, 3 suites. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also have banquet facilities to accommodate the business traveler, wedding receptions, corporate meetings or training seminars.
The dining area has indoor and outdoor seating. It's a wonderful atmosphere and in the heart of the shops.
