The Bayon Market, is a 'modern' style shopping mall, and is found to the west of the city of Phnom Penh, not too far from the city train station. Named after one of the one of the major temples of Angkor Wat Archaeological Park this mall has a small fountain at its main entrance, facing out onto the busy road. In design, simple enough: a black central monolith, on which the name of the mall, in Khmer, is printed, and surrounded by a dozen or so low jets of water. Not the greatest example of the genre, but there are not a lot of fountains in Phnom Penh.
