A terrific 2 day festival with great entertainment! Its always the weekend after Labor Day.

Matthews puts on an excellent local festival well worth taking the time to attend. They have entertainment running all day on the stage and well above average. All sorts of things are going on throughout the festival. In 2011 they even had a short aerobatic show overhead.
Parking is across the festival as well as up the road to the north. Try getting down to the lot to the east of the festival grounds for a shorter walk. Its usually not full even when they are parking people in the lot to the north.
They have lots of vendors, a very very good selection of food, old tractors, thrashing machines with steam engines, stuff the kids can bounce on, the list goes on and on...
Its an above average festival that I would put on my list to attend in the years to come. Its only $2 to get in and you will feel they spent the two bucks to entertain you for sure not just line their pockets.
