This is a second entrance to the park with vehicle access for maintenance. In this area are the cafe, childrens play area, cricket field and the reservoir. The reservoir was originally built to supply water for the the Elsecar Branch of the Dearne Dove Canal which was used to transport coal from the Elsecar Colliery, both now closed. Fishing is allowed on the road side of the reservoir and also on the short reclaimed stretch of the canal. Park has many amenities and the web site has full details- (visit link)
