The Long Market (in Polish: Dlugi Targ) in Gdansk, Poland, is one of the most known tourist attractions of the city. There is number of historic buildings and monuments located along the street: Town Hall, Golden House, Neptune's Fountain, Artus Court and Green Gate.
Its beginning reaches 13th century and it initially served as a merchant road leading to the oval market place. In Gdansk's Golden Age (between 16h and 17th century) the monarchs used to stay in houses along the Long Markt.
Please notice that Long Market (Dlugi Targ) is not Long Street (ul. Dluga).
