The shooting at Carson City's IHOP happened in September 6, 2011. At around 9 AM, Eduardo Sencion, entered the restaurant and started shooting. Prior to entering, he shoot a person in the restaurant's parking lot.
After the shooting, Sencion went into the parking lot and shot at local businesses, including the casino across the street. Sencion than turned the gun on himself.
The fatalities were:
Nevada National Guard Major Heath Kelly. 35
Nevada National Guard Sgt 1st Class Miranda McElhiney, 31
Nevada National Guard Sgt 1st Class Christian Riege, 38
