During the Hurrican Agnes flood of 1972, the rising Conestoga River moved the Kurtz,s Mill Bridge downstream a considerable distance, where it became hung up on a large maple tree.
Following this calamity, the bridge was moved fifteen miles by trailer to the Lancaster County Central Park. There on, on new abutments, it crosses Mill Creek.
The bridge is also known by Baer's Mill and Keystone Mill Bridge.
