The Sunset Point Rest Area is a large rest area with different things to look at while you stretch your legs. There are:
- Vendor Machines
- Rest Rooms
- Pet Exercise Area
- Signs with Interesting Words
- Poisonous Snakes and Insects
- A Sundial memorial to Transporation Workers
- Payphones
- Handicap accessible trail
- Picnic Benches
- Overnight Parking (but not camping)
- ... And more!

 Facilities: This rest area contains many conveniences for the weary traveler.
Picnic Tables - Large covered areas containing multiple picnic tables can be found. In the Arizona heat, shade is a must.
Pet Exercise Area - Located at the far end of the rest area is the pet rest area. It was a gravel area that was quite large. Not many trees.
Pay Telephones - Available for use.
 Services: There are vending machines, but no fast food restaurants.
 Special Features: This site contains several markers or vistas.
There is a sundial that is "dedicated to the Arizona Department of Transportation who died while serving the citizens of the State of Arizona".
