This station, a NH Department of Transportation standard survey disk, is located in New Hampton, NH. It is set in a large ledge outcrop located in front of an outdoor furniture store on the south side of NH Rt.104. The most up-to-date description is in the NHDOT datasheet as follows:

THE STATION IS LOCATED IN NEW HAMPTON.TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE STATE ROUTE 104 BRIDGE OVER THE PEMIGEWASSET RIVER AT THE BRISTOL/NEW HAMPTON TOWN LINE, GO EAST FOR 1.15 MI ON ROUTE 104 TO THE I-93 OVERPASS BRIDGE. CONTINUE STRAIGHT AND GO EAST FOR 2.4 MI ON ROUTE 104 TO UNFINISHED FURNITURE STORE AND THE STATION ON THE RIGHT.THE STATION IS A STANDARD NHDOT DISK STAMPED--329 0220--, SET INTO THE TOP OF A 13-FT X 40-FT LEDGE OUTCROP FLUSH WITH THE GROUND AND 3.0 FT ABOVE THE HIGHWAY. LOCATED 37.1 FT SOUTH FROM THE CENTER OF THE HIGHWAY, 33.5 FT EAST FROM THE EAST EDGE OF THE ASPHALT ENTRANCE TO THE FURNITURE STORE*, 110 FT WEST FROM POWER POLE NH COOP/125/79/4/85-1/NET, 75.1 FT NORTHEAST FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE FURNITURE STORE CORNER.

According to the NGS datasheet, the furniture store was previously a restaurant that has operated under several names. There are no changes otherwise. The NHDOT datasheet shows "restaurant" where I marked a asterisk (*) above, with my correction.

Though not mentioned in either datasheet, there are two drill holes in the ledge, one 4-ft to the northwest of the disk and one 4-ft to the east of the disk, both painted yellow. These might reference points, but this is not certain.

As noted in the short description, this is a Federal Base Network Control Station. It set in a highly stable surface, has adjusted coordinates, and is definitely suitable for GPS. If you want to check the accuracy of your GPS, this would be a good place to do it.

Both the NGS and NHDOT datasheets are accessible at the links below.
