St. Aposteln ist eine von zwölf großen romanischen Basiliken in der Altstadt Kölns. Die dreischiffige Basilika St. Aposteln liegt am Neumarkt. Sie zeichnet sich durch eine besonders große Dreikonchenanlage aus, in die zwei flankierende Osttürme integriert sind. Ihnen gegenüber steht der Westturm, der mit seinen etwa 67 Metern der dritthöchste Turm der Kölner romanischen Kirchen ist. Anders als bei Groß St. Martin wird der kleeblättrige Chor nur von einem kurzen achteckigen Vierungsturm überragt, der von einer Laterne gekrönt wird.
