This public wash house was probably built between the 40´s and the 60´s of the XXth century and was probably used untill the 80´s or 90´s.
Paço is a small, agricultural parish and it was not untill the mid 80´s that the most isolated villages had public water and electricity installed. Even after that the eldest keep using this public wash houses since they had been used to it all their life.
At some time taps were installed so the Lavoir is still usable today.
