For God and Country Lest we forget Marines * Army Navy * Air Force This monument is dedicated to the men and women of the greater Morristown area who have honorably served and fought for our country from the American Revolution to Desert Storm. It is only fitting and proper that Morristown, “The Military Capital of the Colonies,” should be the first to have a monument listing all the military actions of the United States of America to document the human sacrifices made by her people. Description of Memorial:
The memorial is located in Burnham Park in Morristown, NJ. The black marble monument is placed in the middle of a circular dedicated area. The monument sits in the middle of a star. There are a trio of benches surrounding the monument for sitting and reflecttion. Directly behind the monument is a flag pole. The circular area is surrounded by a hedge row and a split rail fence. There is a 3 foot wide path that leads to the monument from the street.
