Long Description:
In order to escape the harsh winter in Erie, PA, four geocaching friends, Tprints, UCcacher, Joelmart, and I headed for Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah.

While caching in our rented minivan in the California desert, we came upon a Desert Tortoise on Sunrise Canyon Road (not much of a road, but a road nonetheless). The road was very narrow, so there was no going around it.

Being from the east, we thought it was pretty cool to see such a thing (we're easily amused). We all took pictures of it before moving it out of our way so we could drive by to the next geocache.

Describe what happened. Example
"Mother Blanding had made her nest between the goldenrod and bluestem outside my window late last June.
By chance we were sitting on the porch when we noticed little blandings in the same location we had seen the mother take 2 months earlier."
