Tailwater Fishing: Excellent fishing is available in the section of the Licking River below Cave Run Dam. In addition to the sport fish species found in Cave Run Lake, walleye and trout can also be caught from the tailwater of Cave Run Dam. Trout are stocked into the river below the dam during the spring, early summer and late fall months. Remember that in addition to a fishing license, a trout permit is is required for anglers who wish to keep the trout they catch.
