This station was apparently built in 1917-18 by the Grand Trunk Railroad. The original station burned in 1914 and Eganville used railway cars as a station in the intervening years.

Eganville saw its first train in 1892, on "December 30 - Canadian Pacific Railway opens from Payne to Eganville with an excursion train from Renfrew. A 25c. ticket carried each passenger and gave admission as well to a Presbyterian tea-meeting." (visit link)

For years this was the location of a small business after the Railroad abandoned this line.
