It appears that after the Spanish-American War, captured Spanish smoothbore cannons from Cuban fortresses were sent to GAR posts throughout the US and placed in front of existing Civil War Monuments. See waymark WMZ5C for further details. This cannon does not have the inscription that the Pittsburgh Pa. cannon does.

The bronze cannon in the lower left has Spanish inscriptions and is dated 1795. The inscription reads, "N.3853.Sevilla.14.DeAgosto.D.E.1795." It is about 8 1/2 feet in length and has a 4 1/2 inch bore diameter. It is believed that it was captured in the Spanish-American War. Crawford County had a unit that went to the Philippines in this war.
My commentary:
There is a further inscription - possibly the name of the cannon - "Papirio"
