Mancelona's first fire bell now is on display near a roadside pullout along the main road through town.

With a natural stone foundation and wooden support beams, this fire bell is now retired from active duty.
A small brass plaque has the following inscription:
This bell was the first fire
warning system for the
MANCELONA HOSE COMPANY (FIRE DEPT.)
It was purchased in 1893
