This trail is inside the Bluff Creek State Natural Area. Only minutes from the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Whitewater campus, there is a small shelter, guide signs, and a toilet for the hikers. There is a residential area called Sherwood Forest nearby, but the trail is secluded enough by heavy vegetation that it feels more like wilderness.
