The Dwingeloo Radio Telescope (DRT) is a radio telescope and a monument to one dish and has a diameter of 25 meters. The location is near Dwingeloo.

History
The telescope was built in 1954. The telescope was then the largest in the world in 1956 and was officially opened by Queen Juliana.
Since 1998, this telescope is not used more scientific. On January 29, 2007, the foundation established CAMRAS, who with the help of volunteer effort to restore the instrument again and ready for use. After restoration, the telescopic rotating the oldest of this size in the world available to amateur radio operators, amateur astronomers and educational institutions.
ASTRON, the manager of the telescope, in 2010 the DRT recognized as industrial heritage monument. In 2011 the government had more than 880,000 euro grant to a substantial facelift.
