It’s time to discuss government policy with someone who knows about it first hand. The kind face of late President George Washington is welcoming as he sits outside Scheels All Sports store. The statue was placed there in the spring of 2011 inviting some interaction with customers entering the store. The life-sized bronze likeness holds a document, perhaps the words of the Constitution written on it. A plaque with his story stands next to the statue.
