This is a C20th carved stone font with a wooden cover. It is at the west end of the south aisle in this old village church which is tucked away at the south end of the village.

The font is basically circular in form with a relieved base turning into a hexagonal pillar with covings. The lines are clean with arches and stylised flower motifs. It is mounted on a circular base with a small lip. Modern yet elegant.

There are remains of bowls around on the floor, possibly Anglo-Saxon fonts.
Approximate Age of Artefact: C20th
