This time capsule was commissioned by the Boulder County Centennial-Bicentennial Commission. The capsule honors both the bicentennial of the United States of America and the centennial of the State of Colorado. Oddly, it was buried August 6, 1977 (which would make a bit of sense if you wanted to gather items from the Centennial-Bicentennial celebration) and is to be opened July 4, 2075. Hmmm...
