Golden Gardens was established in 1907 as a place where people from the city could relax and unwind on weekends. The 87.8-acre park features picnic sites and play areas, ADA-compliant paths, hiking trails, a half-basketball court, a boat launch, and a small creek that runs into the Sound. Boats launched from the nearby Shilshole Marina are active on the water when the weather is fine. The teen community center The Brick: House often hosts band concerts.
