The Montréal Temple was built in 1999-2000. It is the 86th Mormon operating temple and it is located in Longueuil the second largest suburb of Montréal. The dated stone is on the east wall of the temple.

Before 1990, members from the Montréal area drove 45 hours to attend the Alberta Temple in Cardston and from 1990 to 2000, they have traveled for six hours to attend the Toronto Ontario Temple.
