Alex Cemetery is on the east side of Cemetery Road. Take Highway 19 southeast out of Alex about 1.5 miles, then south on Cemetery Road .25 mile. This is slightly rolling prairie land, with few trees. The south half of the cemetery was land set aside by Frank Morris, who lived south of here in the early days of the 20th Century. It was known as Morris Cemetery. Eventually, additional land was added to the north, and the area became known as Alex Cemetery. There are approximately 770 burials here.
