These were the ruins of the Corkstown Geodetic Observatory.

Things have changed a lot since 2013. Fence has been fixed. Animals are at pasture. Ruins of geodetic observatory are gone. The land is still public (National Captial Commission) but it should now be treated like private property.
Beware of the bee farm on the way in. I have waymarked only three of at least five benchmarks that were on site. This micro disk (and its sister disk) are at terrain level 5.
