The kilns were built in the early 19th century, when it was needed to supply lime for the new ironworks in Trinec.
In 1895 the kilns ceased to supply lime in the ironworks, but continued to serve local residents.
The kilns are inactive since 1965, because the mining of limestone was terminated in the local quarries.

Pece pro paleni vapna byly ve Vendryni postaveny na pocatku 19. stoleti, kdy vyvstala potreba dodavek vapna pro nove zelezarny na Trinecku. Tezba zelezne rudy byla sice roku 1895 zastavena, vapenky vsak zustaly v provozu pro potreby mistnich obyvatel. Definitivne vyhasly az roku 1965, kdy byla ukoncena tezba i v prilehlych vapencovych lomech.
