The main post office in Caernarfon on Castle Square (Y Maes) at the heart of the town.

The building has a Grade II listing. It boasts an impressive coat of arms on its roof.

At the corner of the building there is a memorial tablet for Sir William Henry Preece K.C.B. F.R.S. (1834 - 1913) a local who was a pioneer in wireless technology.

There is also a Ordnance Survey flush bracket style benchmark next to the post office entrance.
