The church was built in 1869 and the architecture is Gothic revival. It is also home to an elementary school across the street.

What is creepy about it is that the playground is next to the cemetery, and corn surrounds the entire place.

Here is an interesting bit on the church, taken from Wikipedia-

"The Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kranzburg was the first Catholic Church in the County. It was founded in 1869 by Father James Fitzpatrick. Father Fitz as he would later be known, was murdered in 1879 in an apparent murder by the local Sioux Tribe led by Chief Dancing Bear. However, the Sioux were never charged with the crime because the circumstances surrounding the incident appeared to frame Dancing Bear. Father Fitz was not on cordial terms with the Sioux, but he was disliked even more by the locals for his fire and brimstone speeches condemning the drunkenness that washed over the young town."

The cross is made of steel and is one of the first things you see upon entering the cemetery.
