DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1958 (WER) THE STATION IS ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF ELDERTON, 5-1/2 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF APOLLO, AND 1-1/4 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF SPRING CHURCH, IN THE PROPERTY LINE FENCE BETWEEN MR. A.L. DANDO AND MR. G.W. HUSELTON. TO REACH FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 422 AND STATE HIGHWAY 210, IN ELDERTON, GO WESTERLY ON HIGHWAY 210 FOR 6.6 MILES TO A ROAD FORK. KEEP RIGHT FORK, LEAVING HIGHWAY 210 AND GO WESTERLY ON GRAVELED ROAD FOR 2.5 MILES TO A T-ROAD JUNCTION. TURN LEFT, GO 0.3 MILE TO A T-ROAD JUNCTION. TURN LEFT, GO 0.05 MILE TO CROSSROADS AT THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAYS 56 AND 156 AND THE SHADY PLAIN STORE. TURN RIGHT, GO SOUTHWESTERLY ON HIGHWAY 56 FOR 1.45 MILES TO THE STATION ON LEFT. STATION MARKS ARE STANDARD DISKS STAMPED SPRING 1958. THE SURFACE DISK IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. IT IS 325 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF HOUSE, 266 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF HIGHWAY 56, AND 15 FEET NORTHEAST OF A FIELD ROAD. A STANDARD WITNESS POST WAS SET 2 FEET WEST OF MARK. THE UNDERGROUND DISK IS SET IN AN IRREGULAR MASS OF CONCRETE 32 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND. REFERENCE MARK NO.1, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED SPRING NO 1 1958, IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. IT IS AT THE EAST EDGE OF TIMBER LINE. REFERENCE MARK NO.2, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED SPRING NO 2 1958, IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. IT IS IN THE PROPERTY LINE FENCE. AZIMUTH MARK, A STANDARD DISK STAMPED SPRING 1958, IS SET IN A SQUARE CONCRETE POST WHICH PROJECTS 2 INCHES. IT IS 24 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF HIGHWAY 56, 10 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF DRIVEWAY OF MR. JOHN A. FULTON, AND 2.6 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A POWER LINE POLE. A STANDARD WITNESS POST WAS SET 3 FEET NORTH OF MARK. TO REACH THE AZIMUTH MARK FROM THE STATION, GO WESTERLY ON HIGHWAY 56 FOR 0.6 MILE TO MARK ON THE LEFT.
