Alto de Garajonay is the highest point on the island La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands. It’s situated in the Parque National de Garajonay in centre of the island and reaches 1487 meters. At the main road TF 713 (between San Sebastian and Arure) there is a small parking area (28° 6.946'N 17° 14.593'W, 1350 m above sea level). Walk on the other side of the road to reach the dirt track. You can follow the dirt track to the top or take a narrow forest path to the left after several hundred meters. The hike takes about 1,2 km (one way). At the summit there’s a religious place of the ancient inhabitants of the island.
