This river gauge s roadside along Water Street. Parking is available for one car on the side in a small shoulder across the street or at the nearest side street, of which there are a few close by to the gauge. The gauge is on the right or west side of the road if you are traveling south down the road.

It took me a little bit to figure out why the numbers were in the two hundred thirties until I looked on my GPSr and noticed I was 237 feet above sea level and then noticed the river gauge had a red arrow hovering over 237 feet and that's when it dawned on me. The river overflows its banks occasionally so this accurately measures how high above sea level the water is, unusual when compared to more conventional gauges, but functional nonetheless. I did learn the sea level function on my GPSr works and is very accurate.
