The font is an octagonal design with several columns around the base and a central pillar. There is a decorative cover with foliage designs. It stands in the corner below the lists of Rectors of the church.

Dating to 1859-60 the church was built for the Duke of Bedford and the rector by the architect - Clutton. The wood and stone carving throughout the church is by Thomas Earp.
