Humboldt Cemetery has been in use since 1907, 5 years before the birth of Arizona. It has a number of old and homemade markers. As part of the Centennial celebrations coming up in 2012, this town erected a monument to honor our state's 100 years.
The monument is at the top of the slope that the cemetery is laid out on. The monument itself is made of sandstone slabs stacked to form the base. A sandstone slab in the shape of Arizona is engraved with the following words:
