A rather grubby looking boundary marker showing where Sutton & Cheam ended and Banstead began.

This could do with a clean and a lick of paint, definitely seen better days.
No idea when it was erected, I would hazard a guess at 1934, but it shows where the Municipal Borough of Sutton and Cheam formed in 1934(now the London Borough of Sutton after the name changes in the 1960s and Sutton was swallowed up by London) ends and the Reigate and Banstead Borough Council (Reigate with Banstead Urban District) began.
So, I guess it’s also where London ends and Surrey begins.
I found it whilst looking for a milestone that was not where the OS maps said it should be, got it in the end though.
It’s on the eastern side of the B2230 almost opposite Station Road at the start of Banstead Common, just passed the bus stand.
