The Woodbury Veterans Memorial is located next to the Woodbury City Hall. It was a joint effort of the Woodbury Lions Club, American Legion Club 501, VFW Post 9024, and the City of Woodbury. It was dedicated on 5/25/2009.
The memorial features 1 flag for each branch of the military, a city flag, a state flag and a U.S. flag. A total of ten flags in all. It also has a large plaza with granite pavers engraved with veteran's name, rank, branch of military and era of service. There is enough space for 2000 such pavers and these can be dedicated to any veteran, living or dead, that was honorably discharged.
