This square's most prominent feature is a semi-circular set of Doric columns...known as a peristyle. It is a replica of an earlier peristyle which had been in Grant Park. The 1917 original, made of concrete, was razed in 1953. The replica is made of limestone. The Square was built to honor all the major donors to Millennium Park...chief among them the Wrigley Corporation.
A large fountain is set in front of the peristyle. There is a long grassy lawn stretching in front of the fountain.
