The National Westminster Bank building at the head of Dig Street and the junction of St.John's Street with Church Street is No.1, Church Street. It has a late C19th facade of red brick, a tiled roof and stone eaves cornice, band and quoins. Of three storeys and five bays wide, the entrance door is at the right-hand end.

The cut mark is on the left-hand end plinth on the second course, 0.5m above ground. It was last verified in 1970, last leveled in 1958, of order 2, and is 122.0431m above Ordnance Datum.

There is slight damage due to weathering.
