Yes, this is the restaurant that provided an exterior shot of Mel's Diner in the sitcom "Alice." It wasn't always called Mel's (that's a recent thing to cash in on the smattering of fame this place has). It was formerly known as Lester's Diner in the 1960s and 1970s and Pat's Family Restaurant in the 1980s.
