This mural presents a series of athletes from all sorts of sports...baseball, bowling, basketball, Olympic discus, etc. The mural has not held up well...and has peeled and flaked off in many areas...making it very difficult to read the captions. Presumably, the athletes highlighted here are folks who came from Joliet and the immediate area. Unfortunately some parts of the mural are also defaced.
Note- there is a minor league baseball stadium just a few steps away from here.
