Erected in 1906 by "Veterans, Sons of Veterans & Ladies Auxiliary" to the "Unknown Dead". A 'white bronze' cross on a cobblestone base.

This cross is fashioned to resemble rough wood with vines and roses climbing it.
It bears the emblem of the Veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic 1861-1866 and is dedicated "To the Unknown Dead" of the Civil War.
