This historic Georgian Revival style Federal Building and Post Office is located at 591 Park Ave in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The building constructed began in 1914 and was completed two years later at a cost of $86,199.The Post Office occupied the entire ground floor and some basement area. Other occupants included the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Department of Agriculture News, the Civil Service Investigator, and the Defense Investigative Service. In 1936, the Post Office expanded into more of the building. In 1958, a new main post office building was completed and this location became a branch office serving the downtown area. The building was placed on the National Register on May. 31, 1979. In 1986, the U.S. Postal Service left the building, and private investors bought it, restored the exterior, and remodeled the interior into law offices.
