A mall, or shopping centre as we call them in the UK, named after Charles Darwin who was educated in this city. It is located on Pride Hill which is the main street in Shrewsbury. The Man:
Charles Darwin FRS
Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury in 1809, educated nearby in what is now Shrewsbury Library where his statue now stands, and died in 1882. He was an English naturalist and established that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestry. This was scientific theory that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process that he called natural selection. He is considered in a poll that was done in 2002, to be the 4th greatest 'Briton' that has ever lived:-
